Job summary

Little Diversified Architectural Consulting seeks a Senior Design Architect to elevate design quality at our DC Tysons Corner office, leading a transdisciplinary team across Community, Higher Education and Recreation/Sports projects.

You will drive design concepts from concept through construction documents, mentor junior staff, and maintain strong client relationships, leveraging Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, and a suite of design tools to deliver regenerative outcomes.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional experience including proven track record of project design leadership.
• Bachelor's degree in Architecture; pursuing accreditation or architectural license preferred.
• Strong leadership, mentoring, and client relationship skills.
• Excellent communication and ability to present design concepts clearly to clients.

Responsibilities

• Craft design concepts and develop presentations across multiple project typologies.
• Lead design from concept through design development and construction documents.
• Provide design leadership and mentorship within a transdisciplinary team.

A renowned design firm seeking a Senior Design Architect who will continually elevate the quality of our work in the DC (Tysons Corner) office through positive leadership, a collaborative work style, and deep design expertise. This high-impact position works with a transdisciplinary team to lead design of a wide range of project types with a focus on Community, Higher Education and Recreation/Sports.

Responsibilities/Qualifications:

• Craft Design. Experience creating and developing overall design concepts and formulating design presentation strategies with understanding of multiple project typologies;
• Holistic Design. Ability to follow a project from concept design through design development and construction documents;
• Design Leader. 7+ years of professional experience including proven track record of project design leadership;
• A minimum of a Bachelors degree in Architecture or Design, pursuing accreditation or holding architectural license preferred;
• Problem Solver . Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills;
• Design Mentor. Strong leadership, management and mentoring skills. Offering guidance and leadership;
• Proven track record of success in maintaining and growing client relationships;
• Strong, persuasive communicator with excellent presentation skills and the ability to communicate complex design concepts to clients;
• Ability to develop collaborative relationships across the firm, with clients and other key constituents.
• Technical Design Proficiency. Solid understanding of materials, construction processes and detailing;
• Technology/Tools Proficiency. Proficiency in Revit with the ability to use AutoCAD, Microsoft Suite, Sketch up, Photoshop, In Design, Illustrator, PowerPoint and
• Motivated self-starter and works well in a collaborative environment.
