Job summary

AbbVie is seeking a field-based Medical Science Liaison (MSL) to strategically support research and business objectives across a designated geography. Qualifications

• Advanced degree required in a relevant scientific discipline (PharmD, MD/DO, PhD, APP).
• Senior MSL I: typically 3 years of direct MSL experience.
• MSL: 0–2 years of relevant experience.
• Must translate territory and corporate needs to support objectives.
• Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and other software; strong communication.
• Interpersonal, presentation, and teaching skills; able to work independently and in teams.
• Must meet HCIR credentialing requirements to access facilities.
• Ability to learn and convey clinical and non-clinical information effectively.
• Ability to engage audiences; reside in assigned territory.
• Willingness to travel up to 75%.

Responsibilities

• Identify and maintain relationships with thought leaders and researchers in assigned areas.
• Present scientific information on disease state and AbbVie products to healthcare professionals.
• Support research initiatives with AbbVie R&D and Medical Affairs.
• Prepare marketplace awareness in new therapeutic areas.
• Create and maintain cross-functional partnerships to support business objectives.
• Serve as a medical/scientific resource for healthcare providers.
• Provide ongoing training to medical affairs, field sales, and internal staff.
• Practice strategic segmentation and efficient resource use.
• Ensure compliance with corporate policies and documentation.
