Tooele County is seeking a sworn Deputy Sheriff with sergeant-level leadership to supervise shift officers and reserve deputies. You will manage patrols, investigations, and field training while ensuring adherence to policies and safety standards.

The role requires POST certification and ongoing training, with duties including scheduling, public safety instruction, and inter-agency cooperation. On-call and rotating shifts are part of the position.

Competenze

• High school diploma; POST Basic Corrections Officer or LEO certification at time of hire.
• Three years' experience as a POST certified officer; current Tooele County Deputy Sheriff in good standing or rank of Sergeant or higher with another agency.
• Maintain supervisor training; CPR; radar/Intoxilyzer certifications; firearms qualification; daily training bulletins; physical fitness tests; computer literacy.

Mansioni

• Supervise lower ranking officers; assign duties and observe performance.
• Coordinate activities and ensure policy compliance; issue orders as needed.
• Respond to calls, investigate cases, and coordinate field activities.
• Provide field training to Deputies and reserve officers; lead in investigations and public safety education.
• Maintain equipment and uniform standards; cover shifts and on-call duties.
