Job summary

CACI is seeking a senior-level Deputy Infrastructure and Applications Manager for the GMOS contract supporting the Department of State. This role leads a geographically dispersed team and guides a program-wide IT modernization effort.

You will manage hybrid and multi‑cloud environments, oversee servers, storage, networks, and applications, and collaborate with stakeholders to meet mission objectives while maintaining security and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 8+ years of relevant experience supporting enterprise infrastructure, systems engineering, cloud, or hosting environments.
• Active Secret security clearance.
• Experience designing, implementing, administering, and sustaining enterprise IT infrastructure across physical, virtual, and/or cloud environments.
• Experience with large-scale, highly available hosting environments including server, storage, virtualization, network, and application infrastructure.
• Experience with Windows and/or Linux servers (installation, configuration, administration, troubleshooting, patching, performance monitoring, lifecycle management).
• Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper‑V.
• Knowledge of cloud infrastructure/services (IaaS, PaaS) including AWS/Azure compute, networking, storage, security, and monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Supports design and implementation of physical, virtual, and cloud hosting environments in compliance with DOS requirements.
• Assists in managing global infrastructure operations across domestic data centers and overseas posts.
• Supports server/storage infrastructure engineering for scalable, high‑volume data storage and file sharing.
• Provides Tier II/III support for web, imaging, client‑server, and specialized applications to meet service levels.
• Assists in implementing IaaS and PaaS capabilities for rapid provisioning in production and non‑production environments.
• Supports transition of server environments to hybrid or multi‑cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) with portable deployment across on‑prem and FedRAMP clouds.
• Supervises geographically dispersed teams managing converged server/storage solutions, cloud migrations, and network security.
• Contributes to project objectives, financial management, and staffing planning.
