Job summary

The Civil Division of the Department of Justice (DOJ) seeks individuals for appointment to multiple Career Senior Executive Service Deputy Director vacancies within the Federal Programs Branch. The Deputy Director will guide policy, litigation strategy, and interagency coordination in matters affecting federal programs and executive branch interests.

Applicants must demonstrate strong leadership through ECQs and MTQs, possess a J.D. degree, be a U.S.

Qualifications

• Resume-based application addressing ECQs and MTQs.
• Evidence of progressively responsible leadership experience where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Consults with Directors, DAAG, and AAG on significant Branch matters.
• Reviews and analyzes proposed legislation affecting the office.
• Leads or participates in cases to support the government's position.
• Serves as an expert in laws across broad litigation areas and provides training.
