Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or CPA; CPA preferred.
Minimum five years of professional accounting or auditing experience.
Experience with general ledger and external reporting required.
Two years supervisory experience required; management experience preferred.
Background in automated accounting systems in governmental or large entities.
Proficiency with Excel/Word; familiarity with Adobe Acrobat Pro is a plus.

Responsibilities

Oversee accounts payable, grants accounting, capital assets, general ledger, and financial reporting tasks.
Supervise staff, plan workloads, and ensure policy compliance.
Prepare reconciliations, analyses, and financial statements; support audits.
Coordinate year-end closing, audits, and financial reporting.
Deliver formal training and information sessions.
Manage projects including budgeting, procurement, and communications.
Provide accounting guidance to Controller and CFO as needed.
Troubleshoot financial systems and oversee vendor software.
Contribute to financial policy development and internal controls.
