Job summary

Qualifications

  • Texas Peace Officer certification required.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain Texas license within 90 days.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise Deputies and office staff; assist in budget preparation and expenditure monitoring.
  • Serve civil and criminal papers; act as court bailiff and transport prisoners.
  • Direct traffic, issue citations, and respond to citizen inquiries.
  • Oversee department's vehicle fleet maintenance and repairs.
  • Develop operational policies and coordinate training programs.
  • Recruitment, selection, training, discipline, and dismissal of staff.
  • Prepare Writs of Executions and supervise related assignments.
