Job summary

Lancesoft is hiring a Deputy Assistant Chief Information Officer for the DMH/DPHHS portfolio in Boston. The role leads clinical applications and data service offerings, including Meditech, Cerner and enterprise platforms, while guiding IT teams across SDLC and governance.

Hybrid in-office and remote work is expected with occasional regional travel. The ideal candidate combines 5-10 years in healthcare IT with leadership experience, strong change management skills and deep knowledge of EHRs,

Qualifications

• Minimum 5-10 years of IT related experience in large, complex healthcare IT environments.
• At least 3-5 years in leadership and supervision of technical teams.
• Strong knowledge of change management and process improvement methodologies.
• Hands-on experience with electronic health records (EHR).
• Experience with Cerner/Oracle Health and Meditech Client/Server.
• Experience with Health Information Exchanges (HIE).
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS and Microsoft Azure.
• Involvement with application development, information analysis and reporting.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and stakeholder influence skills.
• Familiarity with security risk management and regulatory considerations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee development and maintenance of clinical applications and data services.
• Manage SDLC activities: requirements, design, development, testing and conversion.
• Coordinate IT business solutions with EOHHS and partner agencies.
• Establish and monitor performance metrics for services.
• Assist in staffing planning and resource allocation.
• Act as liaison between users, developers, operations and management.
• Review regulatory changes and recommend system modifications.
