Job summary

Ramos CS, now part of Colliers Engineering & Design, is seeking a Deputy Building Inspector for LAWA's Quality Assurance and Construction Inspection Division in Los Angeles. You will perform special inspections across Capital Improvement Program projects, ensuring code compliance and precise documentation on day, swing, or night shifts.

Applicants should have LADBS Deputy Building Inspector credentials, a minimum of five years’ large-scale project experience, and a California 30-hour Cal-OSHA

Qualifications

• 5+ years as LADBS Deputy Building Inspector on large-scale projects.
• Oversee compliance with building codes on significant projects.
• Experience coordinating with contractors, engineers and city officials.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret structural drawings and codes; verify compliance with documents.
• Document daily progress, track changes, verify time and material work.
• Create comprehensive daily inspection reports.
• Review monthly progress payment requests.
• Conduct special inspections across disciplines.
