Job summary

Cumming Group is seeking a Deputy Building Inspector to support LAWA’s Capital Improvement Program. The role requires LADBS Deputy Licenses in several disciplines, Cal‑OSHA 30‑hour training, and the ability to work all shifts to meet construction schedules.

Responsibilities include daily inspection reporting, reviewing payment requests, tracking changes, and conducting cross‑disciplinary inspections. Competitive benefits and a base salary range are offered.

Qualifications

• Create and maintain comprehensive daily inspection reports capturing the WHO, WHAT, WHEN, WHERE, and HOW of all construction work activities.
• Assist in reviewing monthly progress payment requests when assigned to a program.
• Track changes, verify time and material work, measure, and document job quantities.
• Conduct special inspections on various disciplines.
• Possess experience, knowledge, and understanding of methods used throughout construction.
• Hold LADBS Deputy Licenses in Concrete, Masonry, Steel Construction, Drilled‑in anchors/seismic resistance, Spray‑applied fireproofing.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain daily inspection reports reflecting project progress.
• Review and assist with monthly progress payment requests as assigned.
• Track changes, verify quantities, and document time and materials.
• Perform special inspections on multiple disciplines.
• Apply construction methods knowledge to ensure compliance and safety.
• Utilize PM Web/Adobe Pro/Bluebeam for inspection documentation.
