Qualifications

• Current California Dental Radiation Safety (X-Ray) Certificate as minimum requirement.
• 3–6 years of dental assistant experience preferred.
• Ability to take diagnostic quality dental X-rays within scope.
• Input and maintain patient charts with documentation.
• Provide thorough chairside assistance and anticipate provider needs.

Responsibilities

• Assist Dentist during procedures and maintain patient comfort.
• Input doctor treatment plans into charts and Open Dental.
• Take diagnostic X-rays and ensure proper documentation.
• Perform suction, isolation, instrument transfer, and prep.
• Disinfect operatories and manage turnover for efficient flow.
• Enter clinical information and support chart completion.
• Maintain stocked operatories and address supply issues.
• Provide chairside support for complex procedures.
• Support intraoral scanning, impressions, and photography.
• Drive efficient clinical flow and keep providers on schedule.
• Prepare rooms, instruments, and setups for next patient.
• Ensure warm, welcoming patient experience and timely check-in/out.
• Lead and train DA I/II and Sterilization team members.
