Job summary

Michigan Medicine in Ann Arbor is seeking a Dental Assistant Senior to join the Med Inn OMFS/HD Clinic. You will assist a dentist at chair-side, prepare work surfaces and materials, and manage patient flow and radiography duties.

This role requires DANB certification and considerable dental assisting experience, plus BLS certification and a radiography certificate for Michigan Medicine. For School of Dentistry positions, BLS, RDA and CDA credentials may be preferred.

Qualifications

• DANB certification is required.
• Extensive experience as a dental assistant is expected.
• BLS certification and a radiography certificate are required for Michigan Medicine positions.
• BLS, RDA and CDA credentials may be required for School of Dentistry positions.

Responsibilities

• Assist in a wide range of chair-side procedures using four-handed dentistry.
• Prepare treatment rooms and surfaces; manage supplies and instruments.
• Expos e and develop radiographs according to standard procedures.
• Coordinate and maintain inventory, ordering and distribution of dental supplies.
