Aéropostale is seeking a Senior Designer – Denim to drive the creative vision for seasonal denim offerings. You will lead design concepts, fabric selection, and wash strategies, collaborating with Merchandising, Product Development, and Sourcing to deliver consumer-driven denim assortments.

The role requires 6+ years in denim design, strong CAD/illustration skills, and the ability to lead a fast-paced design team while maintaining brand standards and market relevance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or related field.
• 6+ years of denim design experience in apparel.
• Extensive knowledge of denim fabrics, washes, fits, and manufacturing processes.
• Strong understanding of fashion trends and global denim market.
• Exceptional sketching, illustration, and presentation skills.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and PLM systems.
• Experience leading cross-functional partnerships in product development.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of seasonal denim collections.
• Establish design concepts, color direction, wash strategies, and fabric platforms.
• Translate trends into commercially viable denim products with detailed specs.
• Oversee wash development, fittings, and production samples.
• Collaborate with Merchandising, Sourcing, and Production to deliver value.
