Job summary

Strategic Retail Partners is seeking a Demand Planning Lead in the Denver area to drive SKU- and customer-level forecasts and balance service levels with inventory investments. You will partner with Sales, Trade Marketing, Finance, Procurement, and Supply Planning to maintain accurate baselines and support the S&OP/IBP process.

You will build advanced Excel models, use SAP IBP/Kinaxis/o9, and leverage SQL to ensure data integrity.

Qualifications

• Three years in demand planning or supply chain, with CP/CPG experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, eng, stats, or related field.
• APICS CPIM/CSCP certification is a plus.
• Advanced Excel with Power Query, Power Pivot, and DAX capabilities.
• Experience with SAP APO/IBP, Kinaxis, o9, or comparable systems.
• Proven data handling with SQL and BI tools to validate planning data.
• Ability to drive cross-functional consensus and present data clearly.

Responsibilities

• Forecast demand at SKU and customer level across short and mid-range horizons.
• Integrate trade promotions, new products, and seasonality into forecasts.
• Manage inventory targets by SKU and channel with replenishment.
• Lead monthly demand review within S&OP/IBP cadence.
• Monitor KPIs like MAPE and bias; analyze variances and act on root cause.
• Communicate risks and opportunities to senior leadership with data.
• Build Excel models to automate data ingestion from multiple sources.
• Support system configuration and adoption during implementations.
• Work with ERP, retailer portals, and syndicated data providers for data integrity.
• Mentor junior analysts and share forecasting best practices.
• Drive continuous improvement in planning processes and docs.
