Job summary

Thermo Fisher Scientific is seeking a Sr. Demand Planner to develop 18-24 month rolling forecasts and lead the monthly SIOP process. You will partner with commercial teams and customers to ensure accurate demand signals and optimize inventory levels.

You will analyze historical data and market trends, drive cross-functional collaboration, and support new product introductions while guiding strategic business decisions and operational excellence initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree plus 8 years of experience and at least 5 years in demand planning, forecasting, or supply chain.
• APICS certification (CPIM or CSCP) preferred
• Strong proficiency in statistical forecasting methodologies and SIOP/IBP processes
• Experience with ERP systems and the Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
• Advanced analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
• Excellent communication and presentation skills for stakeholder engagement
• Experience with demand planning software (Demantra, Kinaxis, or similar tools)
• Proven track record of improving forecast accuracy and reducing bias
• Strong project management and cross-functional collaboration abilities
• Experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry preferred
• Knowledge of Power BI and Salesforce.com preferred
• Strong business acumen and understanding of manufacturing processes
• Demonstrated leadership abilities and mentoring skills
• Experience facilitating meetings and driving consensus across stakeholder groups
