Summary

Our client, a leading medical device company, is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Senior Demand Planner to ensure the seamless coordination of demand planning, forecasting, and activities. The ideal candidate will possess a strong analytical mindset, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to collaborate across teams to optimize our supply chain processes.

Job Duties

  1. Candidate must have previous demand planning experience in a global environment using statistical methods and software.
  2. Be familiar with a standard demand planning cycle, global demand consensus review, etc. with sales, marketing, and other relevant departments to gather demand forecasts and market insights (e.g. sales growth, sales declines, brand rationalizations, new product launches and impact to demand for specific brands).
  3. Work with Finance to ensure the demand plan aligns with financial growth targets by brand and course correct as needed.
  4. Own and improve the set forecasting process for the brands assigned.
  5. Use historical data, market trends, and predictive analytics to generate accurate demand forecasts.
  6. Evaluate and own the accuracy of demand forecasts (i.e. your KPIs and targets), adjusting as necessary, to minimize forecast errors that lead to inventory stockouts and back orders, or excess and obsolete inventory.
  7. Conduct regular meetings with global stakeholders to review demand and supply planning updates, address concerns, and align strategies.
  8. Participate in the implementation and enhancement of supply chain planning tools and software.
  9. Ability to understand various warehouses, inventory, and planning data in SAP.
  10. Understand and act upon Operation KPIs including working capital, inventory turns, DOH/MOH, and financial reporting.
  11. Professionally present information orally or in written format (i.e., MS Word, MS PowerPoint, Outlook).

Requirements

  1. Degree in supply chain management, operations, business, or related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
  2. 4-7+ years of proven experience in supply chain, demand forecasting, and inventory management required.
  3. 4-7+ years using supply chain planning software (e.g. Forecast Pro) and SAP.
  4. Medical Device, Biologics, Pharma Industry, or Manufacturing experience is a plus.
  5. Knowledge of statistical forecast software is required (Forecast Pro is a plus, but other relevant software will be accepted).
  6. Act as a leader to conduct regular demand planning process reviews (e.g. Demand Consensus Review, Country Review, etc.)
  7. Experience with data management and analysis in Microsoft Excel is critical.

Terms & Start

  1. Onsite 5 days/week in Olive Branch, MO or Westminster, CO
  2. 3-6 month contract, extension possible
