Job summary

nou Systems, Inc. (nSI) is seeking a Senior Defense Technologist to join the Engineering Services Division in Virginia.

You will conduct research across defense tech areas, develop cross-domain insights, and evaluate new technologies for integration with military force designs. The role requires extensive collaboration with engineering, planners, and Service representatives to ensure alignment with doctrine and processes.

Qualifications

• US Citizenship required.
• Active TS/SCI clearance.
• Bachelor's degree in Operations Research, Engineering, Physics, CS, Math, Statistics, or related.
• 7+ years in operations research focusing on mission engineering or related.
• 5+ years in mission planning and analysis including CONOPS/OPLANs/CONEMPS.
• 3+ years cross-functional collaboration with engineering, planners, and technologists.

Responsibilities

• Conduct broad research across tech areas including autonomy, AI/ML, sensing, and platforms.
• Develop cross-service, cross-domain insights informed by CONOPS and warfighter needs.
• Evaluate new technologies for military applications and integration pathways.
• Work with MBSE and modeling teams to parameterize and implement technologies in models.
• Collaborate with engineers, PMs, and Service reps to align assessments with doctrine and processes.
• Produce concise, technically rigorous analyses for technical and non-technical leaders.
• Provide thought leadership on multi-domain operations and future force concepts.
• Maintain compliance with classification and data handling requirements.
