Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering or related field.
• 6–10 years of defense systems engineering experience.
• Experience with requirements development, management and configuration control.
• Ability to generate block diagrams and interface control diagrams.
• Experience with integration, test, verification and validation.
• Proficiency with MS Word/Excel/Visio/Project.
• Model-based engineering tools MBSE/SysML/Cameo preferred.
• Excellent written and spoken communication; ability to obtain security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of defense systems meeting specs and performance.
• Translate customer requirements into hardware and software specs.
• Perform functional and timeline analyses and trade studies.
• Troubleshoot system issues with cross-functional teams.
• Provide guidance on innovation, modeling, and software architectures.
• Conduct system integration and testing to verify functionality and security.
• Coordinate reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR, Stage Gate) with customers.
• Identify risks and costs in system development and implementation.
• Ensure compliance with defense industry standards and regulations.
