Job summary

Karman Space & Defense, based in Huntington Beach, CA, seeks a Program Manager to lead defense programs from planning through production and delivery. You will coordinate cross-functional teams, manage performance, and guide technical and business decisions to meet customer requirements.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Engineering or related field, 5+ years in aerospace/defense, and DoD security clearance or ability to obtain one. Preferred MS/MBA and DoD program experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Business Program Management, or a related field or equivalent experience.
• Five+ years in aerospace/defense or similarly complex programs.
• DoD Secret security clearance or ability to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Leads assigned programs through contract completion, controlling cost/schedule/technical outcomes.
• Develops and maintains integrated program plans, schedules, budgets, milestones, and metrics.
• Coordinates execution across engineering, operations, quality, supply chain, contracts, finance, and test.
• Manages statements of work, customer requests, and scope changes.
• Identifies risks and drives mitigation and recovery actions.
• Serves as primary program contact for customers, prime contractors, government stakeholders, and suppliers.
• Leads program reviews and communicates financial performance and risks.
• Supports design/test-readiness reviews and qualification activities.
