Job summary

Leidos seeks a Principal Program Scheduler to lead strategic scheduling for high-priority U.S. Government manufacturing and defense programs in Huntsville.

You will serve as a primary scheduling authority, guiding execution, risks, and alignment of technical, cost, and resource baselines to business outcomes. The role requires deep expertise in IMS, EIA-748, and EVM, with senior-level communication to leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 10–12 years of aerospace & defense scheduling leadership.
• Expert in programmatic scheduling and Earned Value Management (EVM) on large, complex programs.
• Advanced MS Project and scheduling analytics.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a scheduling leader for major defense contracts and shape program strategies.
• Partner with program leadership, CAMs, and manufacturing leads to optimize performance.
• Build and maintain Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) compliant with EIA-748 (PASEG/NDIA).
• Communicate schedule analysis, metrics, and understanding from a cost perspective.
• Integrate technical, cost, and resource baselines to produce forecasts and ETCs.
• Present schedule insights and risks to senior stakeholders.
• Ensure scheduling governance and compliance across high-visibility contracts.
• Develop scheduling artifacts to meet contract requirements.
• Must be onsite at Huntsville location multiple days per week.
