Job summary

Cubic Defense Company in Tampa, FL seeks a seasoned Program Manager to lead complex, high-technology programs spanning development, integration, manufacturing, and testing of advanced hardware and software systems.

You will ensure contractual, technical, schedule, and financial objectives are met while managing program risks and stakeholder expectations with strategic leadership at the system level.

Qualifications

• Ten or more years of progressive management experience that includes operations and program management.
• At least five years of program management on contracts exceeding $10 million USD.
• PMP certification is desirable.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional program teams.
• Understanding of engineering, operations, system integration and test, quality assurance, configuration management, and contract administration.

Responsibilities

• Leads program execution to meet technical performance within cost and schedule.
• Manages multiple programs in accordance with contracts and policies.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to document project scope, deliverables, goals, risks, blockers, success measures, and estimated resources needed.
• Aligning large-scale projects with overarching corporate goals and defining KPIs.
• Ensures that projects remain in-scope and meet budgetary, scheduling, and quality requirements.
• Direct cross-functional teams ensuring schedule management, operational readiness activities, stakeholder communications, risk escalation and mitigation, and deliverable tracking.
• Plans and leads status review meetings, which may include internal team members, vendors, and customers.
• Creates, manages, and distributes project communications artifacts like charters, schedules, and budgets.
• Responsible for training, managing, and motivating the project team, as well as resolving team conflicts.
• Actively performs risk management and pursues risk reduction on assigned programs.
