Job summary

SAIC seeks a Network Engineer/COMSEC Custodian to support a critical defense program at Hill AFB, Utah. The role centers on secure network architectures, RMF compliance, and mission-focused operations on-site.

You will administer routing/switching, firewalls, VPNs, AD, and zero-trust design while leading large projects. Required TS clearance, DoD 8570 Level II or higher, and strong scripting skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 9+ years of relevant experience or a master's degree with 7+ years.
• U.S. Citizenship with Active final Top Secret clearance required.
• Must meet DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II or higher certification (e.g., Security+, CCNA, CASP+, CISSP).
• Experience leading large-scale defense or aerospace network programs.
• Experience designing secure network architectures and utilizing DISA STIG processes.
• Strong scripting skills (PowerShell, Python, Ansible) and root-cause analysis.

Responsibilities

• Administer, configure, and optimize enterprise routing and switching platforms (Cisco IOS/NX-OS, Juniper, Arista).
• Implement and Manage: Firewalls, VPN solutions, Network Segmentation, Zero Trust Security; Maintain Active Directory.
• Design, document, and maintain LAN/WAN architectures with redundancy, load balancing, and failover strategies.
• Interpret and apply RMF, ACAS, HBSS/Trellix, and IAVM bulletins for compliance.
• Automate network tasks through scripting (PowerShell, Python, Ansible) and perform root cause analysis and troubleshooting.
• Troubleshoot and resolve daily support tickets via phone, email, and remote control.
