Job summary

L3Harris Technologies in Salt Lake City is seeking a Lead, Network Systems Engineer to design, integrate, maintain, and troubleshoot military communications networks across concept, schematics, hardware, and software delivery.

The ideal candidate will have deep TCP/IP expertise, experience with enterprise routers/switches, NGFW platforms, and security controls, plus a DoD Secret clearance. This role offers a 9/80 schedule and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited Bachelor's degree in engineering and 9+ years of relevant experience; or graduate degree with 7+ years; or equivalent.
• Active U.S. Government DoD Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design, integrate, maintain, and troubleshoot military networks from concept through delivery.
• Develop network schematics and implement hardware/software solutions.
• Configure and troubleshoot routers, switches, and NGFW devices (Cisco IOS/IOS-XE).
• Apply routing, tunneling, QoS, VLANs, multicast, DNS, NTP, and VoIP.
• Implement network security controls and IP access lists/stateful inspection.
• Use SNMP, SSH, syslog, and RADIUS/TACACS for management.
• Coordinate technical decisions and delivery with engineering teams and customers.
