Job summary

100Hires, Inc. is seeking a Senior Electrical Hardware Architect in Mesa, AZ to lead the design, development, and verification of complex electrical systems for ICE products used on aircraft and military platforms.

You will create CCAs and PCBs from architecture through release, integrate embedded firmware on target hardware, and participate in cross-functional design reviews. Occasional travel is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering strongly preferred; alternatively, an Associate’s degree plus 9+ years of electronic design experience.
• 6+ years of experience in electrical or computer engineering.
• Deep, hands-on PCB design experience using ECAD platforms such as Altium Designer, Cadence OrCAD/Allegro, Siemens Xpedition/PADS Professional, or Zuken CR-8000.
• Solid knowledge of digital communication hardware/protocols: UART, SPI, I2C, IrDA, USB, WiFi, RFID, TCP/IP, RS-485, and more.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and verification of electrical systems that integrate with military platforms, including aircraft.
• Create and validate CCAs and printed circuit boards, from architecture through release.
• Architect, design, develop, debug, deploy, and maintain electrical and electronic hardware for new and existing ICE products.
• Define and document hardware and data input/output as well as overall system requirements.
• Install and exercise embedded software and firmware on target hardware.
• Assess system and software designs, tools, and methods; recommend design enhancements.
• Participate in rigorous design reviews, offering and receiving constructive technical feedback.
• Track industry advancements and apply innovative approaches to your designs.
• Produce and maintain specifications, test plans, and formal reports.
