Job summary

ICE (Inter-Coastal Electronics) in Mesa, AZ, is seeking a Senior Electronics Systems Engineer to design and verify mission-critical hardware for defense applications.

You will own complex electrical system design across CCAs and PCBs, drive the full hardware lifecycle, and define rigorous system requirements for hardware and data I/O, while bringing up embedded software on target hardware to validate behavior.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; an associate degree with extensive experience may substitute.
• 6+ years in electrical or computer engineering required.
• Proficient with professional ECAD PCB design tools.
• Fluency with digital interfaces (UART, SPI, I2C, USB, TCP/IP, etc.).
• Ability to obtain US Security Clearance; ITAR aware.

Responsibilities

• Own complex electrical system design across CCAs and PCBs for defense apps.
• Drive the full hardware lifecycle: architecture, design, debug, sustainment.
• Define and record system requirements with hardware and data I/O clarity.
• Bring up embedded software/firmware on target hardware to validate behavior.
• Engage in design reviews and offer actionable feedback to peers.
• Track industry advancements and apply state-of-the-art techniques.
• Create and maintain specifications, verification plans, and reports.
• Support program execution with occasional travel.
