Job summary

Twenty-Six Defense Maritime seeks a Senior Buyer to manage complex procurement in a high-volume defense manufacturing setting. The role emphasizes FAR/DFARS compliance, supplier negotiations, and coordination with contracts, program offices, and legal teams.

The position supports U.S. Government, international government, and commercial customers, with hybrid on-site and remote work options based on business needs.

Qualifications

• Requires knowledge of FAR/DFARS and federal acquisition regulations.
• Demonstrates experience in negotiating with suppliers and managing subcontracting.
• Proven ability to lead and train junior teammates in a high-volume defense environment.
• Experience developing government proposals and BOEs of moderate complexity.
• Ability to analyze contractual, technical and quality requirements and ensure compliance.
• Strong communication skills and collaboration with Finance and Legal teams.

Responsibilities

• Develops and manages SOWs and procurement requirements.
• Generates solicitations, analyzes proposals, selects source and negotiates terms.
• Executes purchase orders and maintains documentation for compliance.
• Manages postPO activities for quality, reliability, and schedule adherence.
• Travel to supplier meetings and site visits as needed.
• Mentors junior staff and cross-functional peers in procurement practices.
