Job summary

Guild Mortgage Company is seeking a Senior Default Business Analyst to join the default enterprise teams, responsible for eliciting and analyzing stakeholder needs, and serving as the conduit between business and the Information Systems development team.

The role requires eight years in mortgage banking/business analysis, PM certification, and strong Power BI/data modeling skills. Targeted salary range $82,000 to $100,000 annually with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
• Eight+ years of relevant experience in business or mortgage banking roles.
• Professional Certification in Project Management.
• Strong analytical and data modeling skills; ability to simplify complex processes.
• Experience with Power BI, data modeling, DAX and large datasets.

Responsibilities

• Document project objectives, stakeholders, risks, and scope with sponsors.
• Elicit requirements via interviews and document analysis.
• Write requirements specifications and business rules.
• Define quality attributes and nonfunctional requirements.
• Develop and implement testing strategies; assess impact of changes.
• Create system changes narratives, use cases, and test scripts.
• Participate in reviews to ensure correct interpretation of requirements.
• Support training and servicing process templates.
• Decompose needs into detailed functional requirements.
• Collaborate with leadership on fixes and project docs.
• Represent requirements with diagrams and flows when helpful.
• Stay current on regulatory changes and update policies.
• Bridge between IT and business; coordinate QA, UAT, and validation.
• Develop data collection systems and analytics to improve data quality.
• Identify trends and explain surprising results.
• Mentor junior staff and share knowledge.
