Job summary

INEOS Energy Petroleum USA Inc. (the US Gulf) is seeking a Senior Reservoir Engineer with 10+ years in deepwater Gulf of Mexico assets. The role focuses on reservoir interpretations, planning, and modeling across E&P projects, including reserves analysis and economic evaluations.

The candidate will work with multi‑discipline teams to drive optimization, fit-for-purpose development plans, and robust forecasting for mature and new assets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering or Reservoir Engineering.
• 10+ years of deepwater Gulf of Mexico experience preferred.
• Strong analytical and communication skills for executive presentations.

Responsibilities

• Provide reservoir engineering support across assets, including surveillance, PTA, simulation, history matching, production optimization, forecasting, and reserves evaluation.
• Design and support reservoir evaluation programs for exploration and appraisal activities.
• Develop and maintain reservoir models, generate probabilistic forecasts, and provide inputs for reserves reporting and economic analyses.
• Monitor performance, analyze trends, identify root causes, and recommend optimization actions.
• Collaborate with geoscience, production, drilling, commercial, regulatory, and partner teams to align evaluations with business plans.
• Support assurance, portfolio management, and decision making by assessing performance against forecasts and changes.
• Build relationships with operators and partners, providing technical recommendations to enhance asset value.
• Prepare technical reports and presentations, promote data quality and efficient workflows, and identify process improvements.
