Job summary

Humana Inc. seeks a Senior Machine Learning Engineer, Decision Intelligence to own hands-on development of production ML and decisioning pipelines. You will work on feature engineering, scoring workflows, monitoring, and optimization for a scalable NBA Decision Intelligence platform.

The role requires strong Python, RL/optimization experience, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure reliable, auditable systems and responsible decisioning for members.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS or a related field.
• 5+ years of software engineering or quantitative research for large-scale systems.
• 2+ years in production ML/decision systems and RL or optimization.
• Experience with policy gradient / value-based RL and large-scale pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Build, deploy, and operate ML and decisioning pipelines for the platform.
• Improve production reliability, monitoring, and optimization of systems.
• Collaborate with ML, data, platform, and product teams to deliver scalable solutions.
• Ensure compliance with eligibility, constraints, and audit requirements.
