Job summary

Advocate Health Care is seeking a senior financial analyst to support financing activities, debt issuance, and related marketing materials. The role requires at least 5 years of experience in debt programs, preferably in not-for-profit healthcare, with a strong grasp of credit markets and debt structures.

You will monitor debt compliance, prepare forecasts and reports for the Treasurer and Board, and collaborate on lease vs buy analyses and intercompany financing.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of credit markets and debt structures.
• Ability to interpret credit agreements and tax compliance reporting.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Detail-oriented with data reconciliation across sources.
• Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Assist in financing activities and debt issuance, including RFPs and material drafts.
• Monitor compliance of all outstanding debt and track costs, proceeds, covenants, and reporting.
• Review and approve invoices for debt service and related fees.
• Prepare monthly debt tracking reports on rates and financing costs.
• Analyze lease versus buy proposals and intercompany financing strategies.
• Maintain policies and controls related to debt, derivatives and compliance.
