Job summary

DEFTEC seeks a Senior Contractor Support to Capability Development for Deployable Communications and Information Systems (DCIS). You will advise on future DCIS technologies, conduct capability gap analyses, and develop modernization recommendations for NATO-related CIS. Travel up to 30 days/year may be required.

Role focuses on cloud, network automation, enterprise and tactical networking, cybersecurity, and AI-enabled management, with architecture reviews and operational deployment assessments.

Qualifications

• University degree in computer science, IT, or related field; substantial experience may substitute.
• 3+ years supporting enterprise or tactical CIS.
• 3+ years in cloud, networking, or virtualization related areas.
• Experience with satellite comms, cybersecurity, zero trust, or AI-enabled management.
• Experience in NATO or multi-national military environments.

Responsibilities

• Advise DCIS PD on future DCIS technologies and capabilities.
• Conduct technology assessments and capability gap analyses.
• Develop technical modernization recommendations and docu‑ment findings.
• Participate in DCIS architecture reviews and strategic planning.
• Evaluate technologies for operational deployment and interoperability.
• Produce technical evaluation reports and briefings for decision-makers.
• Assess integration of new tech into existing DCIS architectures.
• Support operational testing and post-exercise findings.
• Perform technical risk assessments and mitigation recommendations.
• Provide support for workshops, meetings, and management products.
• Travel up to 30 days per year as required.
