Digital Realty is seeking a Senior Software Manager for the DCIM Platform to guide architecture, development, and delivery of a next-generation, cloud-native system powering data center monitoring and control worldwide.

You will lead global engineering teams, shape technical strategy on Azure, and collaborate with Product, Security, and executives to deliver reliable, real-time insights across a global footprint. The role features advanced IoT, edge-to-cloud solutions, and strong DevOps focus.

Qualifications

• 10–15 years leading global software engineering teams.
• Experience designing and delivering large-scale, cloud-native distributed platforms.
• Deep expertise with Microsoft Azure cloud architecture and services.
• Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines and IaC tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage global software engineering teams including employees, contractors, and vendors.
• Drive architecture and delivery of a secure, cloud-native DCIM platform on Azure.
• Own hiring strategy, onboarding, performance management, and career development.
• Deliver multiple platform initiatives aligned to strategic roadmaps.
• Champion Agile practices (Scrum/Kanban) and continuous improvement.
• Architect highly available, low-latency distributed systems at scale.
• Build edge-to-cloud IoT solutions using Azure IoT Hub/Edge, Stream Analytics, Functions, Data Explorer, Storage.
• Establish observability, monitoring, and DevOps automation for reliability.
• Lead governance, standards, design reviews, and best practices.
• Collaborate with Product/Security/Infrastructure to translate requirements into scalable solutions.
• Communicate strategy, progress, risks, and outcomes to senior leadership.
