Job summary

Digital Realty seeks a Senior Software Manager for the DCIM Platform to lead architecture, development, and delivery of a cloud-native DCIM solution built on Microsoft Azure. You will manage global engineering teams and collaborate with Product, Infrastructure, Security, and executive stakeholders to deliver real-time operational insights powering Digital Realty's worldwide data center footprint.

Qualifications

• Requires 10-15 years leading global software engineering teams across employees, contractors and vendors.
• Experience designing and delivering large-scale, cloud-native distributed platforms.
• Deep expertise with Microsoft Azure cloud architecture and services.
• Strong background in distributed systems, microservices, and modern software architecture patterns.
• Experience developing industrial IoT, telemetry, and edge-to-cloud solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage global software engineering teams across employees, contractors, and vendor partners.
• Drive the architecture and delivery of a secure, cloud-native DCIM platform leveraging Microsoft Azure.
• Own hiring strategy, interviewing, onboarding, performance management, succession planning, and career development.
• Deliver multiple product and platform initiatives while ensuring predictable execution against roadmaps.
• Champion Agile development practices including Scrum, Kanban, sprint planning, and continuous improvement.
• Architect highly available, low-latency distributed systems for real-time monitoring at global scale.
• Build secure edge-to-cloud solutions utilizing IoT protocols such as MQTT and Modbus.
• Establish platform observability, monitoring, and DevOps practices; govern standards and reviews.
• Partner with Product, Security, Compliance, Infrastructure, and stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable solutions.]
• Communicate technical strategy, progress, and risks to senior leadership.
