Job summary

Tap Growth AI seeks an experienced Power Electronics Hardware Engineer to lead the design of DC/AC inverter hardware. You will work on IGBT/MOSFET topologies, gate drivers, isolation interfaces, and protection circuits, while coordinating with firmware for inverter operation and fault handling.

You will perform power loss, thermal, and efficiency optimization, conduct rigorous hardware testing, and validate designs using oscilloscopes and power analyzers.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical / Electronics Engineering and 6+ years in power electronics hardware design.
• Hands-on inverter design, testing and validation experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop DC/AC inverter hardware using IGBT/MOSFET power topologies.
• Integrate control hardware with firmware team on inverter operation and fault handling.
• Perform power loss calculations, thermal and efficiency optimization.
• Conduct hardware testing, debugging and validation using oscilloscopes and power analyzers.
• Design gate drivers, isolation interfaces and protection circuits (overcurrent, overvoltage, short circuit).
• Create schematics and multi-layer PCB designs using Altium.
