Go Fractional is seeking a Senior DBT/Snowflake Developer to design and maintain data pipelines in Snowflake using dbt, with a focus on finance, tax, and revenue analytics.

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior dbt Developer to join our innovative team in a fully remote capacity aligned to the Eastern Time zone. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining modern data transformation pipelines in Snowflake and dbt that power financial, tax, and revenue analytics for our clients. You will have the opportunity to work on challenging projects, partner closely with finance, tax, and audit stakeholders, and play a key role in delivering accurate, well-governed, and audit-ready data that supports critical business decisions.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 10 years in data engineering, analytics engineering, or business intelligence roles, including at least 3 years building production dbt models on Snowflake.
Knowledge: Working understanding of financial data, tax and revenue reporting, and internal control environments (e.g., SOX).
Advanced SQL skills with deep experience in Snowflake, dbt, and Tableau.
Strong understanding of data modeling (dimensional / star schema), ETL/ELT design, and data quality best practices.

Design, build, and maintain scalable dbt models in Snowflake that transform raw financial, tax, and revenue data into trusted, analytics-ready datasets.
Develop and optimize ELT pipelines and automate data extraction from source systems to improve timeliness and reduce manual processes.
Build and support Tableau dashboards and certified data sources for finance, tax, and accounting stakeholders.
Support month-, quarter-, and year-end close by delivering accurate, timely datasets, reconciliations, and reporting.
Provide data, documentation, and historical/point-in-time extracts in support of internal and external audits.
Implement and maintain SOX-aligned controls within the data environment, including testing, peer review, change management, and access governance.
Establish and maintain data lineage, documentation, and automated data quality tests to ensure transparency and trust in reported figures.
Identify opportunities to streamline and optimize workflows, and provide ongoing data analytics support to finance and tax teams.
Monitor and tune Snowflake performance and cost, and troubleshoot pipeline and model issues through root cause analysis.
Document data models, processes, and other technical efforts.
Manage multiple projects from requirements through deployment.
Communicate technical details effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
