Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, certifications or training, or work experience.
• 10+ years of required experience.
• Significant experience with relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL.
• AWS experience.
• Strong Linux and SQL proficiency.
• Experience developing and administering databases.
• Design and implement security measures including access controls, audit and logging.
• Experience with XML as a data exchange format.
• Security Clearance: TS/SCI with Polygraph.
• Python is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Partner with another senior DBA to design, modify and manage database structures to meet customer requirements.
• Support a high-visibility, large-scale application with users across 50+ organizations.
• Collaborate with developers to design, develop, test and deploy systems using iterative Scrum practices.
• Design, develop and deploy data models and databases across development, test, training and production environments on multiple levels.
• Implement and maintain security features including access control, role separation, audit and logging, and monitoring.
• Engage with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into data models and solutions.
• Coordinate with enterprise data services to integrate capabilities.
• Prepare technical documentation and briefings for program reviews.
• Deliver demos and walkthroughs of data models to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Support rapid prototyping to refine requirements and system design.
