Job summary

NTT DATA is seeking an experienced DB2 for z/OS Systems Programmer to lead and deliver technical leadership for a large, multi-subsystem DB2 environment. The role focuses on availability, performance, security, and ongoing modernization across mainframes and global regions.

You will collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to execute upgrades, implement robust DR plans, and optimize OLTP workloads using CICS and DB2.

Qualifications

• Extensive DB2 for z/OS experience including installation, migration, maintenance, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
• Strong knowledge of z/OS components (SMP/E, JCL, TSO/ISPF, SDSF) and RACF security.
• Experience with DDF and distributed DB2 connectivity in large enterprise environments.
• Hands-on DB2 monitoring and optimization across high-availability OLTP systems with CICS.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain DB2 for z/OS environments.
• Support a large-scale enterprise DB2 infrastructure with multiple subsystems.
• Plan and execute DB2 upgrades, migrations, and maintenance releases.
• Provide Level 2/3 technical support for DB2-based applications.
• Ensure DB2 availability, integrity, and performance across platforms.
• Support DDF connectivity and distributed DB2 access.
