Job summary

NTT DATA is seeking a seasoned Database Administrator to ensure the availability, integrity, and performance of critical data assets in a remote-capable role across US locations. The role focuses on DB2 for z/OS, security, backup/recovery, and cross-functional collaboration to optimize data workflows.

You will lead database tuning, monitor performance, implement disaster recovery, and work with application and infrastructure teams to support data-driven applications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in computer science, engineering, information technology or related field.
• Relevant certification, such as MCSE DBA, oracles associate or equivalent preferred.
• IBM DB2 Certification Professional preferred.
• Completion of database management courses covering topics like database administration, data modelling, SQL, and performance tuning can provide foundational knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Administer and support IBM DB2 databases on z/OS platforms.
• Monitor, analyze, and tune database and SQL performance.
• Manage database utilities including REORG, LOAD, COPY, and RECOVER.
• Implement backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures.
• Support application deployments and database changes.
• Ensure database security, compliance, and operational integrity.
• Troubleshoot production issues and provide technical leadership.
• Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and development teams.
• Performs any other related task as required.
