Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services Limited seeks a DB2 Senior Engineer to drive migration of IBM DB2 data and workloads to the Databricks Lakehouse. You will analyze DB2 objects, modernize SQL and ETL workflows, validate migrated data, and optimize high-volume Databricks workloads.

The role requires 10+ years of experience with IBM DB2, Databricks, and data-engineering in a property and casualty insurance context. Remote work option with collaboration across enterprise teams.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of DB2 data-engineering experience with migration to Databricks.
• Proficient in Python and PySpark for ETL/ELT tasks.
• Experience modernizing SQL, stored procedures, and legacy workflows.
• Familiar with Databricks Unity Catalog and data governance tools.
• Strong data-quality validation and reconciliation capabilities.
• Knowledge of insurance domain helpful.

Responsibilities

• Analyze DB2 databases and migrate objects to Databricks Lakehouse.
• Design scalable ETL/ELT pipelines between DB2 and Databricks.
• Validate migrated data and ensure data quality.
• Translate security grants to Unity Catalog controls.
• Optimize Spark jobs and Databricks workloads.
• Collaborate with business, cloud, and architecture teams.
