Job summary

Qualifications

• Hands-on performance & load testing experience is mandatory.
• Strong experience with MariaDB & MySQL performance engineering.
• Experience on high-scale, event-driven transactional platforms.
• Expertise with k6, Locust, Gatling, or similar load-testing tools.
• Experience supporting distributed load generation & large-scale tests.
• Familiarity with Grafana/Prometheus/Datadog/OpenTelemetry.
• Senior specialist, not a generalist DBA.
• Experience in cloud-native & Kubernetes environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead database performance & load testing across large-scale platforms.
• Design, execute, and analyze database-focused tests (load, stress, endurance, scalability).
• Analyze and tune database behavior under heavy workloads.
• Optimize SQL queries, indexes, schemas, and configurations for performance.
• Investigate lock contention, deadlocks, replication delays, bottlenecks.
• Monitor saturation metrics: connections, throughput, IOPS, CPU, memory, cache.
