Job summary

NVIDIA Corporation is seeking an experienced hardware-focused leader to drive multi-disciplinary product development for AI server platforms. You will engage early with engineering groups, plan development programs, and optimize manufacturing processes to deliver high-quality systems.

Applicants should have 12+ years in Electrical Engineering, strong CPU/GPU/PCIe expertise, Python scripting, and a track record in design and manufacture of complex hardware platforms.

Qualifications

• BS/MS or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering and 12+ years of relevant work experience.
• Solid understanding of complex compute/AI server system architecture.
• Proven skills in design and manufacture of complex hardware platforms.
• CPU, GPU, HBM, PCIe expertise and comfortable writing Python code and test scripts.

What you'll be doing

• Early engagement with HW/FW/SW engineering groups, manufacturing partners, and other operations units such as program management and product quality engineering.
• Develop and implement comprehensive product development plans that will result in high quality product.
• Participate in mfg. process planning, scheduling and cost optimization.
• Participate in Design for Manufacturing / Test (DFX) process and reviews.
• Provide DFX feedback that results in excellent product quality.
• Work closely with factory personnel and engineering teams during prototype/validation builds, driving solutions to day-to-day problems, collecting metrics and reporting status.
• Work cross functional teams to define and implement process improvements, based on data collection and analysis.
• Reviewing build dashboards to analyze latest throughput, yields and failure categories.
• Publishing clear daily status and build reports.
• Develop documentation and SOPs for product assembly, test, debug/failure analysis for internal teams, contract manufacturers or external customers.
• Debugging server platforms as per published guidelines.
• Working with CM Failure Analysis, Test Engineers and Operators to ensure factory assembly and test plans meet Nvidia’s standards.
• Performing minor rework, retesting and recovering units.

What we need to see

• BS/MS or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering and 12+ years of relevant work experience.
• Solid understanding of complex compute/AI server system architecture.
• Also knowledgeable about rack scale systems (servers, backend network switches, TOR switches, power shelves, cabling etc.)
• Proven skills and experience in design and manufacture of complex hardware platforms.
• Excellent complex hardware platforms debugging and rational problem solving skills.
• Ability to review logfiles and make initial triage decisions based on documentation provided by the Engineering Team.
• Familiar with power and thermal system design for datacenter rack server systems.
• Excellent multi-functional collaboration skills, working in a global, matrixed team and motivated to continually improve/optimize processes.
• Familiar with diagnostics/test software as used in a factory setting.
• CPU, GPU, HBM, PCIe expertise and comfortable writing Python code and test scripts.
• Familiarity with linux command line, running commands, reviewing output A high-energy, proactive self-starter with a strong sense of ownership and accountability to drive critical tasks and projects through to completion.

Salary and benefits

• Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions.
• The base salary range is 200,000 USD - 322,000 USD.
• You will also be eligible for equity and benefits.
