Job summary

Bounteous seeks a Senior Databricks Engineer to design, build, and optimize large-scale data platforms on the Databricks Lakehouse. You will own data pipelines, partner with analytics teams, and set engineering standards for performance and cost efficiency.

You will mentor junior engineers, drive best practices, and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver reliable data products while upholding security and governance across the cloud data estate.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of data engineering experience, with 3+ years building production solutions on Databricks and Apache Spark.
• Proficient in Python (PySpark) and SQL.
• Experience with Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, and medallion architecture.

Responsibilities

• Architect, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines on Databricks Lakehouse using PySpark, Spark SQL, and Delta Lake.
• Design medallion data architectures and enforce quality, governance, and lineage standards.
• Optimize Spark jobs and cluster configurations for performance and cost; implement CI/CD pipelines.
