KinderCare Learning Companies seeks a Senior Databricks Engineer to own the design, optimization, and governance of a Databricks-based data platform. You will work closely with data engineers and BI teams to deliver scalable pipelines and AI-ready data assets while ensuring SOX-compliant controls and auditable engineering practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in CS/related field.
• 7+ years as a data engineer with 3+ on Databricks production workloads.
• Strong data governance, data security, and access-control practices.
• Experience with Agile development, CI/CD automation, and TDD.
• Databricks certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and optimize production-grade ETL/ELT pipelines on medallion architecture.
• Tune performance and cost across the platform; manage clustering and DBU governance.
• Model data for BI consumption (Power BI) and downstream analytics.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for Databricks assets; follow Agile/TDD.
• Collaborate with security, compliance, and audit teams for SOX alignment.
