Job summary

SDG Group seeks a Senior Databricks Data Engineering Consultant in a hybrid Indianapolis-based role. You will lead design, development, and delivery of modern data solutions on Databricks, partnering with clients to shape requirements and ensure scalable, maintainable pipelines that support analytics and AI initiatives.

Qualifications

• 5–7+ years in data engineering, data warehousing, or analytics engineering.
• Extensive Databricks experience with production data workloads.
• Advanced Databricks SQL for enterprise-scale workloads.
• Advanced SQL and Python skills.
• Cloud data platforms and data modeling knowledge.
• Matillion and/or dbt experience preferred.
• Strong consulting and client-facing communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and delivery of scalable data solutions within Databricks.
• Guide data requirements and solution design with technical and business stakeholders.
• Design and implement data integration across structured and unstructured sources.
• Establish scalable patterns, governance, and best practices for downstream use cases.
• Mentor engineers and collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
