Job summary

SDG Group seeks a Databricks Data Engineering Consultant to design, build, and deliver modern data solutions for clients in a hybrid Indianapolis, IN environment. You will partner with technical and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver scalable, reliable data pipelines and analytics workflows.

The role emphasizes hands-on Databricks SQL, data modeling, and cloud data platforms, with opportunities to work directly with clients, optimize transformations, and advance

Qualifications

• 2–5+ years in data engineering, data warehousing, data integration, analytics engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Hands-on Databricks experience with production data engineering and analytical workloads.
• Strong SQL skills, including complex transformations; Python or similar language proficiency.
• Experience with ETL/ELT and data modeling in modern cloud environments.
• Consulting or client-facing experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, and maintain scalable data solutions in Databricks.
• Develop and optimize SQL-based transformations for analytics.
• Build and maintain scalable data pipelines and processing solutions.
• Integrate data from structured and unstructured sources using ETL/ELT methods.
• Develop and maintain data models and warehouse structures for reporting and analytics.
• Contribute to cloud-based data platforms using Databricks and related technologies.
• Transform and validate enterprise data following best practices.
• Identify data quality issues and improve reliability and performance.
• Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver solutions.
