Job summary

Infinitive is seeking a Consultant, Data Engineer to join our hybrid team in McLean, Virginia, working on-site with clients. You will build and maintain data pipelines on Databricks, writing production Python, PySpark and SQL code that moves data from sources into analytics tables used by client analysts and data scientists.

The role targets engineers with 1–3 years of experience who want client-facing work and exposure to new data platforms.

Qualifications

• 1 to 3 years of professional data engineering or software engineering experience.
• Hands-on Databricks, PySpark and Python in production environments.
• Strong SQL skills with data transformations and quality checks.
• Clear written and verbal communication, client-facing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain data pipelines on Databricks for client projects.
• Ingest data from diverse sources into Delta Lake tables.
• Collaborate on project teams with engineers, architects and analysts.
• Participate in code reviews, CI/CD, and documentation.
