Qualifications
- 15+ years of enterprise IT operations experience.
- Experience leading federal or large-scale database programs.
- Knowledge of Oracle, SQL Server and cloud database platforms.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks (NIST 800-53, RMF, Zero Trust).
- Proven cross-functional leadership across multi-vendor environments.
Responsibilities
- Provide senior technical leadership across VA’s Oracle, SQL Server and cloud databases.
- Oversee database operations for critical applications in healthcare, benefits and identity services.
- Drive modernization, resilience, security compliance and unified processes.
- Ensure high availability, recoverability and alignment with VA security mandates.
- Lead governance, reporting, and modernization initiatives for enterprise DBs.
