Job summary

Empower AI is seeking a Database Team Lead to manage global DoS database environments, overseeing 350 facilities, multiple data centers, and cloud platforms. You will direct senior Tier II/III support for Oracle and SQL databases, lead modernization efforts, and ensure security and compliance across on-prem and cloud deployments.

Required 12+ years of experience, a Bachelor’s in IT or related field, and a Secret Security Clearance.

Qualifications

12+ years of database management and leadership experience.
Secret Security Clearance required for government work.
Bachelor's in IT or related field; professional certifications encouraged (OCP/MCDBA).
Preferred: CompTIA Sec+, ITIL 4 Foundation.

Responsibilities

Direct senior Tier II database support for Oracle and SQL databases, incl. CCD and legacy systems.
Lead modernization initiatives for databases and support integration with partner agencies and internal apps.
Oversee middleware and ESB infrastructure, deploy DDL/DML scripts, and coordinate releases across locations.
Provide leadership for Oracle engineered systems (Exadata) including standby builds and cloud migration.
Ensure security compliance, manage service accounts, and maintain SOPs/KBAs.
Coordinate IV&V teams for script installation, troubleshooting, and non-production testing.
