Job summary

Nyla Technology Solutions in Maryland is seeking a senior Database Administrator/Engineer to join a tight-knit team in Annapolis Junction. You will create, support, maintain, and troubleshoot MS SQL Server and MariaDB databases across on-premise and cloud environments, driving reliability and security for mission-critical data.

This role emphasizes automation, problem solving, and collaboration within agile teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline with 10+ years DBA experience OR High School Diploma/GED with 14+ years of hands-on software engineering experience.
• Hands-on experience creating, maintaining, patching, and supporting MS SQL Server, MariaDB, and/or Oracle.
• Experience in performance tuning, backup/recovery, and disaster recovery planning.
• Strong collaboration and communication within small agile teams.
