Job summary

Nyla Technology Solutions is seeking a Database Engineer in Maryland to own database design, development, and information storage across the project lifecycle. You will build data workflows, lead the development of a database parser and loading tools, and support Python-based microservices and RESTful endpoints that feed JSON data to modern UI front ends.

The role requires an active TS/SCI polygraph clearance and offers a base salary of $135,000–$159,000 USD, excluding discretionary bonuses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in data analytics, intelligence studies, CS, finance/economics, or related discipline, plus 5+ years experience OR High School Diploma/GED with 10+ years intelligence/data experience.
• Experience designing and optimizing databases, both relational and NoSQL.
• Experience building database parsers, loading tools, and data ingestion pipelines.
• Experience with Python web frameworks (Django/Flask) and RESTful endpoints.

Responsibilities

• Own database design, development, and information storage across the project lifecycle.
• Build new data workflows and lead development of database parser and loading tools.
• Support Python-based microservices and RESTful endpoints feeding JSON data to UI front ends.
